‘Brooding Psalm’ is the quintessential lo-fi recordings of the basement nobodies. Deeply personal pricks to the soul bleed ‘Brooding Psalm’ declares bombastic electro-shoefolk. John Mayer on Special K with a Fuzz pedal couldn't compete; Naomi Punk would have to find some different desolate bathroom stalls to record in; melodies seethe The Microphones with its’ call of existential glory. Mr. Larson, being a family man himself, is the unrecognized survivor of American dystopia and creates a vivid mosaic of what life is like living near the end of the American dream. This 80 minutes/22-track swath is worth seeing the light of day and we hope you enjoy- Tracy Maret
